Our Club mission is to continuously improve our standard of rugby and promote the sport of rugby for children and adults in Kinsale and surrounds. Our two adult teams compete in Junior Division 2, and many of this team came up through our underage structure. Our player development follows the IRFU LTPD plan through which we receive enormous support from the Munster Branch. This year we set up a Rugby Committee which allows some of the most knowledgable people in our club to come together to plan for a very successful future for Kinsale RFC. This committee is headed by Gary Byrne (UCC) and our Director Of Rugby Denis Collins.
We were fortunate to be able to purchase new lands around the club a few years ago, and our aim is to start development of the land to provide additional playing and training space. In 2015 we commenced our development plan with the installation of match-grade floodlighting on our main pitch. This will facilitate evening matches, a huge benefit for our Youth and Adult teams. In 2017 we reopened our redeveloped Pitch 3 allowing for extensive additional training space for our teams. These developments are made possible by the proceeds of the Kinsale 7s, and our Club Lotto scheme. We urge all parents and members to help these efforts by promoting the sale of lotto tickets and helping with the 7s when the time comes on 5th & 6th May 2018.
