Kinsale u18.5s hosted Clonakilty in their 3rd round game of the Munster Club Conference 4 League. Both teams headed into the game on the back of 2 defeats so were looking to get some points on the board.
Kinsale immediately put pressure on the visitors had then on the back foot from early in the game. The first score came from the hands of Jordan Wright to the delight of the home crowd after a few phases of play. The second score also went to the home team as Andrew O'Connell broke through Clonakilitys lines to make it 10-0 to the home side. The visitors had chances towards the end of the first half but the Sharks defense held tight and keep them out. 10-0 the half time score.
The second half was a more closely fought contest with the visitors putting the home side under more pressure. There was very little between the sides and the scoreline showed the same with 2 tries and a conversion to both teams with the Kinsale tries coming from Jack Egan and James Gill. The conversion came from Jordan Wright.
22-12 was the final score.
