Barry McGrory slotted a penalty at the stroke of half time giving Kinsale a 10-0 lead at half time.

Half time change, Timmy Lynch on for Chris Campbell. Kinsale broke Fethard’s line six minutes into the second half with an inside pass from Jordan O’Regan to put John Gallagher over the line. They now strongly dominated Fethard’s scrum which finally had to be reduced to non contested scrums. Rob Armstrong on for Fergus Gimblett. In the 53rd minute Dan Cronin crashed across for his first try which Barry McGrory converted. Shane O’Dwyer came on for Stephen Breen. Kinsale set up a fine rolling maul for Dan Cronin’s second try. Dan Horgan and Ciaran Keogh on for John Gallagher and Dan Cronin, Chris Campbell re-entered the game for Pat O’Regan. Fethard crossed for two tries which they converted in the 33rd and 37th minute. But it was too little too late, final score and bonus point win 27-14.

Man of the match for his work rate on pitch today goes to Tom McCarthy.

The final word from coach Wayne Falvey - “great fight in the boys”
