Presidents Message

As the dawn of a new season breaks I'm prompted to pause and reflect on how far we've come in a short space of time. For such a young club we have already broken the mould with extensive pitch space,  fantastic facilities such as a state of the art gym, clubhouse, and of course our world renowned annual fundraiser Heineken Kinsale 7s. So what does the future hold for such a vibrant young community? Well thanks to all of you for taking the time to give us your input we now have a clear road map in Kinsale RFC 2020 development plan. This will help guide us through the next 4 years with vision and purpose to becoming an even better place for you and your children to call home.

Out first focus will be on the rugby, with an incredible coaching team leading our adult squads I've no doubt silverware will form part of our near future! Along with a very talented rugby committee supporting our experienced, dedicated team of volunteer underage coaches this looks likely to be the best year yet on the pitches.

In the clubhouse we aim to make this a place you can come together to enjoy and we can only do that with your help. I urge you to get involved. Give whatever time you can, join us for matches, parties, get together, send us your ideas, give us feedback on what works and what doesn't. Your input is what our club needs to grow.

Each year we run a hugely successful event on the may bank holiday in Kinsale. This event is the main fundraiser for the club and is what enables us to grow our facilities beyond anything we could have imagined. This event simply cannot happen without the selfless dedication of all our members and for that I thank you. However I must ask you go a little further, if you are already volunteering please try and encourage someone else to come along and help out too! If you haven't volunteered to help please reconsider. If you have questions or concerns come along to one of our town hall meetings and we will be happy to answer any question you may have.

I am extremely excited about what this season holds in store for us and I look forward to working with each and everyone of you to achieve our most successful year yet

Yours in rugby,

Kim Kerins,

President Kinsale RFC
