A day were Kinsale had to secure 4th place in the league and wait till the Munster branch decide if the top four teams go up or not from the league.The game as everyone thought would be full of passion and endevour. Bandon from the kick off played with fire and pride and this resulted in an early score for the No.5 crossing the line after constant pressure from pick and drives close to the Sale line this was converted and the visitors lead 7pts to nil.Then within five minutes Bandon were handed a chance to extend their lead from a penalty which their No.13 acheived, 10pts to nil. Kinsale didnt start well and it took well into the first half before they began to string phases together, Peter Murphy deep inside Bandons twenty two taking a flat pass off a ruck and crossing the line untouched out on the far right corner 5pts to 10pts. Within minutes Kinsale showed their strength with Frazier Hodgson scoring under the sticks from good approach work from the forwards and conversion by Peter Murphy, Kinsale 12pts Bandon 10pts. Kinsale extended this with a penalty from inside Bandons ten metre line 15pts to 10 at the break. Tagh Wright worked extremely hard from the base of the scrum to give excellent go forward and with the impressive front five clearing everything before them Kinsale begun to dominate the remainder of the game. Indeed Tagh Wright scoring from a scrum wrapping around Peter Murphy and touching down fending off two would be tacklers converted by Peter Murphy 27pts 10pts.Kinsale again scored through an overthrow inside Bandons twenty two Ben Alary catching and offloading to Shane O Regan who scored 32 to 10 pts..Bandon did score agin through their impressive No.10 out paceing Kinsale's rear guard.32pts to 15pts.Edouard Le Maire scoring in the corner after great approach work from Frazier and Peter final score 39pts Kinsale Bandon 15pts...
